Wedding Videographer in Puglia

Cinematic wedding films among the masserie, olive groves and whitewashed towns of Italy’s south.

the films

Puglia moves slowly, and so does the light.

I’m Giancarlo De Vita, a destination wedding videographer drawn back to Puglia again and again — for the sun-warmed stone of its masserie, the silver of its olive groves, and a golden hour that seems to last for hours. My films are unscripted and observational: I follow the day as it breathes, capturing real feeling rather than staged sequences, and shape it into a film that still feels like you years from now.

the region

A year of Puglia weddings, in motion

Where the Amalfi Coast rises vertically in cliffs and lemon terraces, Puglia opens out — horizontal, unhurried, endless. This is the land of the masseria: fortified stone farmhouses turned into some of Italy’s most characterful wedding estates, wrapped in centuries-old olive trees and courtyards that glow at dusk.

Between the Adriatic and the Ionian you’ll find whitewashed hill towns, sea-carved cliffs, trulli, and a food culture that turns a wedding dinner into an event of its own. It’s a region for couples who love history, texture and rustic elegance — Italian charm without the crowds.

Puglia is also home for me, which means no learning curve on the ground:
I know the venues, the light through the seasons, and the local planners and photographers worth working alongside.

Beyond the Venue

The towns that make a Puglia film

The best wedding films breathe beyond the reception. Between ceremony and party I love stealing away for portraits and quiet moments in Puglia’s most photogenic towns — each one its own scene.

how i work

An invisible storyteller, start to finish

01

Observe, don't direct

The best wedding films breathe beyond the reception. Between ceremony and party I love stealing away for portraits and quiet moments in Puglia’s most photogenic towns — each one its own scene.

02

Every detail, your details

The stolen glances, the toast that breaks the room, the olive light at dinner. I chase the small things that make the day unmistakably yours.

03

A film built on feeling

Artful imagery married to carefully chosen music, edited into a story with rhythm — one that reaches the emotions, not just the memory.

A Personal Note

"Making memories in Puglia — let me capture your day the way it truly felt."

questions

Planning your Puglia film

Collections are tailored to each wedding, so pricing depends on your date, venue, hours of coverage and whether you’d like extras like a second shooter, drone, or welcome-dinner and day-after filming. Share your details and I’ll send an indicative proposal built around your day.

Popular choices include Borgo Egnazia, Masseria Torre Coccaro, Masseria San Domenico, Masseria Potenti and Masseria Spina, alongside historic estates such as Castello Marchione. The right one depends on the mood you’re after — an open masseria among olive groves feels intimate and organic, while a castle brings structure and grandeur. I’m happy to film wherever you choose.

Yes. I film throughout the region — the Valle d’Itria and Ostuni, the coast around Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, Savelletri and Fasano, down through Lecce and the Salento to Gallipoli. Puglia is home, so travel across the region is included.

For peak season (May to September) most couples secure their date 3 to 4 months ahead, especially for sought-after venues. If your date is close, reach out anyway — it’s always worth checking availability.

Always. Photo and video teams share the day closely, so seamless coordination matters — particularly in masseria settings where timing and light are everything. I collaborate happily with both Italian and international photographers and with your planner.

Puglia is horizontal and earthy — olive groves, stone masserie, golden light and slow atmosphere — while the Amalfi Coast is vertical and dramatic, all cliffs, sea and colour. Both are stunning; the films simply carry a different rhythm. If you’re weighing regions, see the full picture on my Italy wedding films page.

Yes — many Puglia weddings unfold over a whole weekend, and I love capturing the welcome dinner, the day-after brunch and everything in between. These can be added to any collection
